An email came in from California with a request for a copy of Vigil. How I love finding those requests in my “in box!” They always leave me wondering… How did they hear of Vigil? From where does their interest come? Are they a caregiver, or a hospice volunteer? Do they share my passion for quality, whole-person care for all at the end of life?
May Vigil inspire them to keep the subject of dying and death an open topic… to be present in loving support of others as they witness the final “letting go” of life.
And then when I hear back from the book recipient with kind words, my soul is nourished; my heart sings! Vigil’s good work goes on…
“I received Vigil in the mail this afternoon! What a beautiful book and tied with a bow! Truly a present to myself! Thank you for the lovely inscription and cards. I look forward to reading and re-reading your poetry for many years to come. Keep writing!!! It’s your superpower!”
