As a follow-up to Vigil Volunteer Training, Jessica DeGrechie, Bayada Hospice Director, has invited Vigil (and me!) to speak to staff and Hospice program volunteers. In the stories told and the poems read, we will share the deep meaning and privilege found by volunteers and staff alike in caring for individuals in the last sacred hours and moments of their life's journey. Norwich University School of Nursing’s Inaugural White Coat Ceremony
I am so honored to be asked to be the keynote speaker for Norwich University School of Nursing's Inaugural White Coat Ceremony! With the support of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, white coats will be conferred upon 43 second year nursing students who are ready to enter the clinical phase of their training. The students will then recite an oath promising to deliver humanistic, compassionate care to those they serve. A memorable day awaits both the students, faculty, families…
